2015 Volunteer Application

Major Manager selection has been completed.

Minor A, Minor B, Farm, T-Ball applications are still being accepted. We are never sure how many applicants we have compared to the amount of teams we will have. Those getting in their applications by the deadline will have priority consideration over those who submit after the November 15 deadline. The Board will be voting on Managers for these divisions at its December 5, 2014 meeting. We will let you know if attendance required.

Remember, player evaluations are scheduled for January 10 and 11. The Draft for the Majors Division scheduled for Friday night, January 23, the Draft for the Minor A Division scheduled for Saturday morning, January 24 and the Draft for the Minor B Division scheduled for Saturday afternoon, January 24. No draft for the farm and t-ball divisions.

Any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. You first should contact the Vice President of the Division you’re interested in managing. Check of website, Board of Director’s tab for contact info. Next, contact either Kurt or myself.

For those who have not managed in the past, especially, in our younger divisions, don’t let this be an impediment for you in submitting your name for consideration. Our league will provide you with the tools to be successful —we have a Coaching Coordinator available to you to ask questions, help with practice planning. We’ll have at least one coaching clinic and we plan on introducing a mentor program to match you with an experience manager to help you along the process. Also, Little League International has some great tools and programs available to us. Knowledge of the game is helpful but more important is that we have individuals who are good leaders and inspire respect, who have the understanding, patience and the capacity to work with children.

Remember, as a manager, you control the team environment and can choose when and where you practice. Don’t be afraid —send in your application today.

On October 2nd 2014 Smart & Final opened their 200th store at 644 Redondo Avenue.  Smart & Final has been in business in Long Beach for almost 100 years.

LBLL would like to extend our biggest thanks to Smart & Final for their gracious support and donation to our organization.  We are thankful for the very gracious donation of $2,500.  Sponsorship Chairman Dave Erkman and BOD members Kim Foley, Lisa Dissman and Kelly Cernok were on hand at the festivities.
