Fred Hanker is a veteran of over 25 years of playing, scouting, coaching and managing baseball and fast pitch softball. After a successful baseball career at Lakewood High School, he played 4 years at Cal State Dominguez Hills. He currently holds 12 school hitting records and was voted All CCAA 4 times and All West Regional 2 times. In the 1987 Major League Baseball draft Hanker was drafted by the Oakland A’s organization in the 31^st round. He compiled a career .284 career average in professional baseball. He has worked as an instructor in several baseball camps, helped coach at the high school and junior high school levels, and also scouted part time for major league baseball. His fast pitch softball experience is equally impressive. Hanker has a career batting average of over .400. He has accumulated over 20 years of fast pitch playing against top notch world class competition. In 2004 he started The Long Beach Black Sox a men’s fast pitch team. He currently is the team’s owner, manager and leading hitter over the past 4 years. He holds virtually every Sox hitting record to date. Fred is also the commissioner of the Southern California Independent Fast Pitch League (SCIFL) which is the only men’s fast pitch league in Southern California.

 Lessons are 40.00 a half hour which includes cage  rental, use of machine, tees and instructor fee.·       Fielding, catching, and hitting lessons available for  baseball and fast pitch softball for boys and girls.·       Instructor is former professional baseball player and current fast pitch softball player.
