The Londonderry United Soccer Club is a competitive travel soccer program for boys and girls ages 7-18. We are a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing our community with a positive youth soccer environment. LUSC is affiliated with the US Youth Soccer Association, NH Soccer Association, and Granite State Youth Soccer League. We also participate in the Early Development Program (EDP), a coalition of towns supporting small-sided soccer, with a focus on fun and skills development for young players.

Our program supports fall/spring outdoor seasons in the Granite State league, holiday tournaments, indoor sessions, skills training, summer camps, and the best soccer fields in New Hampshire!

GSYSL tournament 2009
LUSC teammates celebrate a goal at the GSYSL Fall Tournament

Four Londonderry United teams competed at the Granite State Fall Tournament on Nov. 7. Three of those teams won their matches and qualified for the NHSA Fall Tournament, to be held Saturday Nov. 14 at Londonderry’s Continental Park fields.

The Boys U12 “A” team coached by Todd Ellis improved to 8-0-1 on the season with a thrilling 1-0 win over the Bedford Classics, a match decided by penalty kicks. Battling the flu as well as the Classics, the undermanned LUSC team survived some scary moments during regulation play while just missing on several scoring opportunities. After a scoreless overtime, the teams went to penalty kicks to decide the winner. Goalkeeper Tim McEacharn made a huge stop and also scored on his own PK. Also delivering on PKs were Tim Zepf and Max Hastings.

The team will play Hollis on Saturday at 9 am on Field 7 for the fall plaque.

The Girls U12 team coached by Jaime Pendleton, which finished its season with a record of 7-0-1, also faced off against Bedford in the GSYSL tournament. The regulation ended at 0-0 as defense on both sides was strong, so the teams went into overtime. With less than two minutes left in overtime, LUSC’s Maggie McAlister was fouled in the penalty box. Maggie nailed her penalty kick into the left corner, giving her team a 1-0 victory!

The girls will play Hooksett Select on Saturday at 12:00 on Field 7.

The Girls U13 team coached by Joppa Frasch defeated Amherst, 2-0. The win was special considering that Amherst had beaten LUSC twice during the regular season.   Noelle Lambert scored both goals for the winners.

The U13 girls will play Pelham in the NHSA finals on Saturday at 12:00 on Field 6.

Also competing at the GSYSL tournament was the Boys U12 “B” team coached by Rob O’Regan and Nathan Enwright. The boys played well but lost to Windham 3-1.

Good luck to all the teams competing at the West Road fields this weekend. The full fall tournament schedule is available here.
