Be advised that the decision to close the fields due to bad weather or the poor playing conditions of the fields may at times not be made until after 5:30pm when the director on duty arrives at the field.

Field Status Policy:
The LOLLL Board will do their best to inform the membership of any cancelled practices or games due to weather conditions. Unfortunately, many times a decision on canceling games cannot be made until the weather runs its course. The Board will follow this procedure in determining a cancellation and notifying the membership:

1.        Only two entities can determine a cancelled game due to weather or field conditions; county officials or a director from the LOLLL Board. Managers canceling their games without proper authorization will be subject to a game forfeiture and possible disciplinary action.

2.        The Director from the Board will then notify the Director on Duty and the Director of Umpires. An email will then be sent to all members notifying them of the field closure.
 

LITTLE LEAGUE RULING ON COMPOSITE BATS:
Little League International has placed a moratorium on the use of composite bats in the Little League (Majors) Division and all other baseball divisions of Little League, effective immediately,including try-outs! The moratorium on composite bats does not apply to any softball divisions of Little League.

The moratorium on composite bats only applies to composite-barreled bats. Bats that have only a metal/alloy in the barrel are not subject to the moratorium, regardless of the composition of the handle.
