FALL BALL In Person Registration at Kuhlken Field on 8/22/09 from 9 AM to 12 PM

La Mesa National Little League will again be offering a Fall Baseball program this year for Caps, Minors and Majors. This is a great experience for the players.  Fall Ball is a developmental program that focuses on cultivating baseball skills and fundamentals. It is especially valuable for T-ball going to Caps; Caps going to Minors; and, Minors going to Majors. The games start on September 13th and end on November 15th. Depending on the Coach, there may be practices and all games are played Sunday afternoon in a “Travel Ball” format with games being played around the District here in San Diego within a 20 mile radius of our boundary.  There are no tryouts. Teams are divided equally by the coaches to provide a fun and educational environment.  THE NUMBER OF TEAMS WILL DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF COACHES WHO VOLUNTEER, SO ENROLLMENT MAY BE LIMITED. Details of the exact schedule will be distributed by the coaches once it is available from the District.  After assignment to a team, a medical release will also be required to be submitted before player participation in any games.   Players will be provided a hat and a jersey which they keep.

The La Mesa National Little League Closing Day Ceremonies were completed
Saturday June 6th at Kuhlken Field.

The fun started with the Caps Invitational Game (players are currently T-Ball players) at 9:00 am followed at 10:00 am by the Closing Day Ceremonies including recognition of those teams going on to represent LMNLL in the District Tournament of Champions, season home run hitters and team sportsmanship awards. Many fans remained after the Ceremonies to watch the Minors Invitational Game (players are currently Caps players).
Both games were close and filled with great hits and great plays.
If you did not get your 2009 LMNLL Program please contact a Board Member.

Closing Day was also Board Election Day. The results will be announced shortly and if you are interested in helping out next year there are always opportunities that can prepare you for Board positions next year.

La Mesa National will also be hosting the District 33 10-11 All-Stars games starting June 25 at Kuhlken Field and we will be needing your help with that as well.

We hope you have enjoyed the season and welcome any suggestions you may have for improvements.
