Little Mountain Baseball: Safety

Safety Policy
In order to protect the children who participate in Little Mountain Baseball's programs, Little League Canada and the Board of Little Mountain Baseball requires a Criminal Record Check for all LMB Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, All-Star or Tournament Team Coaches and Managers, as well as all LMB Board Members at least once every three years.

Criminal Record Checks should be completed and submitted prior to the start of the season to:

Process for Obtaining a Criminal Record Check:

1. Download Criminal Record Check Letter (from Handouts section, click link below)

2. Take introductory CRC Letter requesting that a CRC be performed to Vancouver Police Department

3. Complete additional forms at the police station.

4. Pay VPD $25.00 fee (save the receipt).

5. Police will search for any criminal record from information provided. Subjects with common names may also be required to have a fingerprint check for verification.

6. Completed form will be returned to the person requesting the record check.

7. Provide a copy of the Criminal Record Check, your receipt, and your Coaching Application to LMB Safety Officer, Steve Nantel.

8. The Safety Officer will decide if there is any reason that someone should not coach at LMB based on the CRC. This information will be held in strict confidence.

9. LMB will reimburse you for the cost of the CRC.
