Little Mountain Baseball: Volunteers

VOLUNTEERING AT LMB

Little Mountain Baseball is a volunteer run organization. Parent participation is vital to ensuring that the baseball program is successful and registration fees are kept reasonable.

Managers, coaches, umpires and league officials are volunteers. While many of them are parents of players, Little Mountain is blessed with many volunteers whose children have graduated, whose children aren't yet old enough to play, or who don't have children at all. Parent or not, all volunteers are committed to the same goal: making the best possible experience for all the children in our league. All of these volunteers should be commended, and not criticized, for the work they do. ck41

As a parent, you are a member of Little Mountain Baseball League.  Although game responsibilities vary slightly for each division and field assignment, every family in our membership is expected to fulfill their volunteer committment to their team (by volunteering at their child's games) as well as the league (as a coach, umpire, coordinator, event organizer or event support volunteer).  There are many ways to get involved at Little Mountain.  We look forward to having your family join the team!

See below for more specific information regarding volunteer opportunities & responsibilities at LMB.

VOLUNTEER AT YOUR CHILD'S GAME

LMB expects families to volunteer for a minimum of four games during the regular season for each child in the program in one or more of the following ways:

•  Field Work

•  Concession (Riley & Hillcrest)

•  50/50 Ticket Sales (Riley & Hillcrest)

•  Scorekeeping (not required for Blast Ball, T-Ball, Challenger)

•  Pitch Count (Majors A&B)

•  Snack (for younger divisions)

We encourage all parents to pitch in as needed, even if it's not your "assigned" responsibility that day.

If you are not familiar with your volunteer duty, don't hesitate to ask for guidance!  We are all here to support our kids and each other.
