On June 14, 2009 Clare Wren, the Umpire Co-ordinator at the Little League Softball World Series in Portland, OR passed away.
Wren was a valued volunteer at the World Series since 1994.
He was a friend to all the umpires who have worked that Series and will be sorely missed by all who's life he touched.
A celebration of life will held on June 26 in Salem, OR

There will be a celebration of life for Clare Wren on June 26th at 6 pm at the Pringle Hall Communty Center in Salem (by the Salem Hospital),
Clare became involved in Leslie Little League while his kids were playing and he has grandkids that have played and some that are playing now. He has been part of District 7 staff as UIC for softball for many years. He also became involved with the Little League Softball World Series when it first started in Portland, OR working with the umpires. Clare was a great asset to District 7 and will be greatly missed.
