Little League West Region: LL Board of Directors

WASHINGTON DISTRICT 9 D.A. BOB TOIGO ELECTED AS WESTERN REGION REPRESENTATIVE TO THE LITTLE LEAGUE® INTERNATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
At the spring meeting of the Little League® International Board of Directors, Bob Toigo Washington District 9 Administrator, was elected to the Board. Mr. Toigo, of Sammamish Wash., succeeds Marty Hoy, California District 25 Administrator, as the Western Region Representative.  “We are extremely grateful for Marty’s years of service on the Board,” said Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour, Little League International Board of Directors Chairman. “And we are excited to have Bob provide his insight and wisdom on the Board for the next four years. Both of these gentlemen have given countless hours of dedicated service to ensuring that millions of children around the world can have a wonderful Little League experience.”
 
Mr. Toigo, 71, has been a Little League volunteer for 44 years, serving as District Administrator for the past seven years. He has received the Western Region Assistant District Administrator of the Year award and also serves as the Washington State Little League Director and on the Northwest New League Development Committee. There are 14 local Little League programs in Mr. Toigo’s district. “I am extremely honored to represent all of our players and volunteers of the Western Region on the Little League International Board of Directors,” said Mr. Toigo. “We have a proud Little League tradition in Washington, which is the home of the Junior League Softball World Series. I am excited to bring my experiences to help create a better Little League experience for all our players, parents and volunteers.” Mr. Toigo’s hometown team of Sammamish, Eastlake Little League, represented the West Region in the 2013 Little League Baseball World Series. 


MARTY HOY ELECTED TO THE INTERNATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Marty Hoy

Marty Hoy, of Torrance, Calif., is representing the Western Region.  Mr. Hoy has served in virtually every volunteer position in the local Little League organization during his 32 years of service, including coach, scorekeeper/announcer, member of the local league Board of Directors, local league President and Vice President, Player Agent and District Tournament Site Director.

For the last 10 years, Mr. Hoy has been the District Administrator for California District 25.  He also has been an umpire for 17 years.  Mr. Hoy has served as one of the public address announcers at the Little League Baseball World Series for several years.
