Senior League Baseball Southwest Region and World Champions

West University Little League from Houston, TX represented the Southwest Region at the Senior League Baseball World Series in Bangor, Maine. The West University LL team went 3-1 in pool play and advanced to a semifinal showdown with the host team from Maine. West University LL beat Maine 7-0 and advanced to the championship game to face Latin America, the only team that had beaten them in pool play. In the championship game, West University LL avenged their loss and won the Senior League Baseball World Series Championship by defeating Latin American 7-4.

The Southwest Region also reached the world championship game in the Little League Softball and Junior League Baseball Divisions. Bossier Little League (Bossier City, LA) in Little League Softball and Oil Belt Little League (Corpus Christi, TX) in Junior League Baseball had great runs at the World Series making it all the way to the championship game. All nine participants the Southwest Region had at each of the World Series events did an outstanding job of representing their communities, states, and the Southwest Region well.
