Little League Child Protection Program

National Sex Offender Registry
Local leagues are required to utilize the Little League Volunteer Application and must conduct a nationwide search that contains the applicable government sex offender registry data as opposed to conducting a statewide sex offense registry search. The requirement of background checks is necessary to protect children by maintaining a hostile environment for those who would sexually abuse children or exploit children in any way.
