8/1 - What a way to finish up the State Big League Softball Tournament. District 15 had been undefeated going into the Championship game against District 5 and only had to win the one game to become the state champion. However, District 5 had other ideas and wasn't going to go down without a fight. District 5 beat District 15 by a score of 4 to 3 to force the "if necessary" game but District 15 proved to be stronger team and won the game and the State Championship flag by a score of 8 to 2. Congratulations, District 15 and good luck in Grand Rapids at the Regionals - your next step to the World Series!
