7/29 - District 9, Rockford Little League Wins State Championship
Rockford Little League defeated Eastwood Little League by a score of 18 to 7 to win the first ever 11 Year Old Softball State Tournament and bring the state flag home to their league. 7/28 District 2, Eastwood Little League is undefeated with a 5-0 record and will face D9, Rockford Little League at 1:00 PM tomorrow for the State Championship. 8/4 - District 9, Grandville Little League Wins State Championship
Grandville Little League battled back out of the losers bracket to defeat District 1, Midland Little League for the Senior Baseball State Championship. Grandville won the first game 4-2 which then forced the "if" game and won that one 7-1. Grandville now heads off to the Central Region tournament in Peru, IL.

7/28 - District 9, Georgetown Little League Wins State Championship
District 9 Georgetown District 13 Cheboygan by a score 10 to 4 to win the state championship flag. Georgetown spotted four runs to Cheboygan in a less-than-perfect first inning, but pitcher Sarah Kretz buckled down and prevented her opponent from scoring the rest of the way. Georgetown tied it at 4-4 in the fifth inning, as Natasha Parmeter tripled and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Lindsey Repins. Nolta's RBI single deadlocked the contest. Georgetown broke it open in the sixth with six runs, the key blow being a two-run triple by Michelle Huizenga that plated Nolta and Holly Robrahn. Next stop for Georgetown is the Central Region Senior Softball Tournament in South Bend, IN Aug. 8-12.

District 9, Georgetown defeated District 11, Marquette by a score of 10 to 2 winning the State Championship flag and moving on to the Central Region Junior Softball Tournament.

7/29  - District 15, Mattawan Little League Wins State Championship In No Hitter
District 15, Mattawan Little League defeated District 10, Gladstone Little League by a score of 4 to 0. Loren Nagy was dominant allowing no hits and striking out 17 batters while only giving up 1 walk. In a losing cause, Jordon Schwartz gave up 3 unearned runs on 4 errors by Gladstone. 7/22 - In the semi-finals, District 2, West Portage defeated District 9, Hudsonville by a score of 4 to 3 and  District 4 lost to District 14 by a score of 5 to 4. District 2 will meet District 14 today at 3:00 PM for the State Championship title and the winner will move on to the Central Region tournament. The winner of the Regional tournament then moves on to the Little League Softball World Series in Portland, OR.

7/22 - District 14, Essexville Little League wins State!
Essexville Little League held back West Portage Little League to win the Major State Softball Championship by a score of 2 to 1. Essexville's next stop is the Central Region tournament. Good luck Essexville from all of us!

District 14, Bay City NW defeated District 1, Midland in the final game by a score of 6 to 5 to bring home the state championship flag and bring to a close the first 11 Year Old Baseball State Tournament.

7/28 - District 9, Western Little League Wins State Championship
It all game down to this one last game for the opportunity to win the state championship flag and District 9, Western Little League pulled it off. Western defeated West Portage Little League by a score of 4 to 1 in tonight's final of the undefeated teams. Next stop, the Central Region Tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana.
