League Determination Date

Age "cutoff dates" for Little League are as follows:

Baseball:  Playing age is determined by the player's age on April 30 of the current year.  All players registered for a baseball program - whether male or female - will use the April 30 date.  To download the age chart to determine playing age for baseball:  http://www.littleleague.org/Assets/forms_pubs/AgeChartBB_09.pdf

Softball:  Playing age is determined by the player's age on December 31 of the year just past.  All players registered for a softball program will use the December 31 date.  To download the age chart to determine playing age for softball:  http://www.littleleague.org/Assets/forms_pubs/AgeChartSB_09.pdf

You may also use the "Age Calculator" to determine a player's league age by going to:
http://www.littleleague.org/leagueofficers/Determine_League_Age/League_Age_Calculator.htm   Simply put the player's birth date in and the playing age will be calculated for you - either baseball or softball.
