ORDERING RULE BOOKS

e-rules

Starting in 2009, for the first time, anyone will be able to purchase a Little League rule book from Little League International. Previously, Little League only sold the books to the local League President or District Administrator when they produced the League or District ID number.
For 2009, the retail price for the three books (Baseball, Softball, Challenger Division) is $7 each, with a discount the local League President or District Administrator when they produce the League or District ID number.

However, as always, local leagues will receive a supply of FREE rule books (two per team) when applying for charter.

If the League President or District Administrator wishes to order more rule books at the discounted rate, he or she may do so one of two ways:

  1. Present the League or District ID Number in person at Little League International (price reduced to $2).
  2. Present the League or District ID Number by telephone at Little League International (price reduced to $2).

Anyone else who wishes to place an order in person, by phone, or through the Little League On-Line Store at http://www.littleleaguestore.net/, may purchase rule books for $7 each.

In all cases involving shipping, additional charges will apply.

Also, for the second year, the rules are available electronically, on-line. The Little League E-Rules also may be ordered by anyone for $20, which allows the purchaser to place a copy of the Baseball, Softball and Challenger Rule Books on any two computers.

Those League Presidents or District Administrators who present a League/District ID Number by one of the two methods listed above will receive a discount of $10 for every E-Rule ordered. (District Administrators will receive one free copy each, and will soon be receiving more information on how to obtain the E-Rules.)

LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

2007 Congress
Little League has pioneered a unique forum of field leaders to give voice and authoritative sanction to representation. This forum is the Little League International Congress, first launched in 1956.
Every three years, approximately 500 District Administrators represent constituent leagues in roundtable discussion and assemble in convention to provide comprehensive review of the Little League program including rules and regulations. These discussions provide the basis for effective administration of the program at all levels.

In accordance with policy, the membership of the Congress nominates eight District Administrators for election as members of the Board of Directors of Little League Baseball, Incorporated. This democratic process ensures equal geographic representation in formulating the future direction of the Little League Baseball and Softball program.

The next International Congress will convene April 13 - 16, 2007, in Houston, Texas.

More information about the Congress and registration can be found HERE
