I am a proud member of the Tournament Committee, Game Operations Division at the annual Little League Baseball East Region Tournament. The 2010 Tournament will be my seventh (7th) year volunteering at the tournament, certainly with many more decades of service to come. At the Tournament, I do many things such as Webmaster, Weather Forecaster, Stadium Music, General Team Relations, Office Work (Team Affidavits, Line-ups, Box Scores, Game Summaries, Official Documents).
I was formerly the Program Seller for two years (06-07), and the Chief Program Seller for one year (08). Prior to that, my first two years (04-05) I was a Concession Services Blue Shirt. In response to my hard work and dedication to Little League Baseball and the East Region Tournament, I was presented with the 2009 Director's Volunteer Award for Volunteer of the Year. What's my future look like at Little League? Well, I hope to hold an administrative paid position at the annual Little League Baseball Camp held here at the Giamatti Complex in Bristol, starting with the 2010 Summer Camp. After Summer Camp, I will have a week of rest before the annual Little League Baseball Eastern Regional Tournament, where I am an avid volunteer. |
