SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS
LITTLE LEAGUE SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS
The number one priority for every Volunteer in the Little League Program should be Safety. Creating a safe environment for the children and all the volunteers should be first and foremost in everything we do. Many rules and regulations that have been established by Little League Baseball Inc. cover safety of the game itself. A good Safety Plan and Common Sense is a must for all Local Leagues, Board's and Volunteers. To view or download a list of the most common published rules and regulations covering safety click on the link above.

    ASAP Tip of the Month
ASAP Tip of the Month Index
Since 2003, local leagues have been required to have all board members, managers, coaches, and other volunteers or hired workers who provide regular service to the league and/or who have repetitive access to or contact with players or teams fill out the official “Little League Volunteer Application” and conduct a background check of these individuals on the state Sex Offense Registry. Beginning in 2007, local leagues must conduct a nationwide background check of the applicable government sex offender registry data. This new Little League regulation coupled with new background check tools will provide leagues with added protection as they choose volunteers and/or hired workers. Every issue of the ASAP Safety Program Newsletter, from October 1998 to the present, is now available for viewing or download directly from Little League Online!     ASAP Tip of the Month
