Al is yet another original member of the White Sox who kept the team's spirits up during their tough season of 2001. Who can forget the day he ran face-first into a fence (requiring 30 stiches over his eye to close the HUGE gash) making a catch...during warmups BEFORE the Sox were about to play their first ever game! Al has played a superb left-field the past 3 seasons and has continuously hit for a high average and shown awesome speed and smarts on the basepaths. Al is a big part of the Sox success and heart, we wouldn't be where we are without him or his stitches...and cuts...and scrapes...and bruises...and bloody uniform(s)!
