It is the responsibility of the group to find a replacement if someone can not attend an assigned session.  Or if your entire group can not attend, you must find a replacement group.   Neglecting to do so may result in your group being dropped from the remainder of the hitting schedule.  

Check this website or the LinnMarBaseball Twitter account for weather or school related cancellations.

The first group each session will need to help set up and the last group will need to help tear down.  Please plan accordingly by arriving early.  

Hitting nets will be set up on the side each night for T work or Toss.  Varsity players will have priority, other wise it will be on a first come, first serve basis.  Your group does not have to have an assigned cage time for you to come and hit on the side.

Catcher's are encouraged to come in and work on mechanics by catching the hitting sessions when your group is not hitting.

 WEIGHT ROOM IS AVAILABLE TO ALL BASEBALL PLAYERS ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNINGS FROM 6:30 AM TO 7:30 AM,  BEGINNING 1-10-12.

ATTENDANCE IS ENCOURAGED!  THOSE LIFTING WITH OTHER SPORTS SHOULD CONTINUE TO DO SO.  PLEASE LET COACH LECHNER KNOW IF YOU ARE LIFTING WITH ANOTHER SPORT.

INDOOR HITTING LEAGUE  (SIGN UP THIS WEEK 1-6 THRU 1-13 IN ROOM G-139)

We will be running an indoor hitting league this winter on Wednesday and Thursday evenings 5:30-7:00 pm, from January 18th thru March 8th.  Players will have a chance to sign up for teams of 4 players and time slots IN COACH LECHNER'S ROOM G-139, THIS WEEK.  

Cornell College hitting camp...Sundays 2-12, 2-19, 2-26.  Go to www.ramcamps.com for information.

Indian Hills advanced pitching/hitting camp Feb 18/19.  Contact Cam Walker 641-856-2143 ext 2212 for information.

Kyle Rodenkirk has been hired as the new asst. varsity baseball coach.  He will be replacing coach Lane, who will be persuing his masters degree.

Coach Rodenkirk prepped at CR Jefferson and went on to the University of Iowa before finishing his collegiate career at Winona State.  Coach Rodenkirk has coached at Winona state, CR Jefferson, and most recently was the head coach at Anamosa High School.

Coach Rodenkirk brings a wealth of knowledge to the program and specifically to the catching position.  Please help to welcome coach Rodenkirk to the Linn-Mar baseball family.

PROGRESS ON NEW BASEBALL / SOFTBALL COMPLEX AT OAKRIDGE!

  Lights, dugouts, bleachers, surface, grass, scoreboard, hitting area, concessions, locker rooms, storage shed have all been either completed or started.  There are no guarantees that the new facility will be completed for the upcoming season, but things are looking positive at this time.  You can view pictures in the album link.
