If you are a returning Warrior, you should find a degree of comfort in the familiarity of the program! Some changes have been made in an attempt to improve. In over 30 years of building youth, the Warriors have established themselves as a quality program deserving of respect from both outside the club as well as within. We want to challenge you to set goals for improvement in all aspects of developing your character, fitness, technique and confidence.

If you are a new Warrior, we hope that your experience is one that benefits everyone involved, especially your young athlete.

A free novice and competitive session will be held in the Lincoln High School wrestling room Thursday January 5, 2012; Novice 6-7 p.m.; Competitive 7-8:30 p.m.  Discounts are offered for multiple wrestlers from the same family.  Special fees are also offered for wrestlers not from the Lincoln community interested in attending one night per week. Warriors are now accepting registrations for the following:

Warrior Competive Session: This Winter session is designed for the age 4-grade 8 wrestler interested in continuing and advancing their wrestling skills. Practices will meet the needs of a newer, as well as more advanced wrestlers. However, this wrestler plans on participating in tournament competition. This session runs during the months of January, February, and March. Warrior wrestlers also receive FREE session opportunities at the Devaney Center with University of Nebraska coaches and wrestlers. This scheduling combination affords a competitive wrestler an advantage unique to the Warrior program This session meets up to three times each week, cost $60.00.

Warrior Novice Session: This Winter session is designed for the age 4-grade 8 wrestler interested in continuing and advancing their wrestling skills. Practices will meet the needs of  newer wrestlers and advance as the tournament season progresses. However, this wrestler plans on participating in tournament competition. This session runs during the months of January, February, and March. Warrior wrestlers also receive FREE session opportunities at the Devaney Center with University of Nebraska coaches and wrestlers. This scheduling combination affords a competitive wrestler an advantage unique to the Warrior program This session meets up to three times each week, cost $60.00.

Warrior Novice Extended Session: targeted for age 4 thru 14 wrestlers. The Warrior Novice extended session continues as an introduction to wrestling and development of fundamental wrestling skills! This Novice session runs January through April and will practice once a week at Lincoln High cost $30.00.

At the Warriors, winning is not the most important outcome. Focus, effort and perseverance are! Wrestlers deal with disappointments, successes, and being pushed to seek new individual goals! This is an aggressive and competitive arena in which we participate.

Warriors are encouraged to look for success in the process as we challenge ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We look forward to the next step of the journey with you and your wrestler!

The Warriors policy is that if LPS closes school or cancels events due to weather, practice is cancelled.
