Fact: Recruiting is not fair
Fact: 60,000 seniors will graduate this year wanting to play collegiate softball
Fact: Only 4,000 will be chosen to play
Fact: Of that 4,000, only about 45% will receive any athletically funded financial assistance (1,800)
Fact: Only 100-150 athletes will go to one of the top 25% D1 schools in the country.
Fact: Over 90% of all colleges that play softball are east of Colorado.
Fact: Only 1% of those receiving athletic funds are on a Full Ride.
Fact: D1 schools are only allowed 12 total scholarships (including those already in place) every year. D2 schools only get 7.
Fact: 50% of the colleges out there are D3 or NAIA and the best can beat a lower level D1 program.
Fact: 30% of the colleges are D2, and more than half of those can beat a lower level D1 program.
Fact: Only 20% are D1 colleges. A third of those are at the highest level(College World Series). The remaining two thirds are not much better than a high level D2 or D3 program.
