IT WILL BE OUR 23rd YEAR OF SUMMER LEAGUE FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND ALUMNI!

OVERVIEW OF LIFHA PROGRAMS- Our 23rd year!!!!!
SUMMER- Monday / Wednesday night is the high school 11 on 11 with mixed teams. Looking forward to seeing local athletes trying to improve their game skills in a competitive setting!
Special thanks to the over two thousand players through the years who have made the committment to improve their skills and have their school teams benefit from their additional experience.
SUMMER- Tuesday / Thursday night is the ALUMNI LEAGUE
Special thanks to the players who have made our summer alumni program such a huge success. LIFHA is always looking for current college or post high school field hockey players who are interested in competitive play during the summer and a way to network with other athletes in the business world or educational setting. Gather up your "old" high school and college teammates and join us on Tuesday/Thursday nights for a great workout and to get those competitive juices flowing again. Rosters with a minimum of 10 players can participate or, if you prefer, join as an individual.
BOTH ABOVE PROGRAMS ARE RUN ANNUALLY AT CARLE PLACE HIGH SCHOOL DURING THE LAST WEEK IN JUNE, AND THREE WEEKS IN JULY FROM 6-8pm.

LIFHA FALL JUNIOR LEAGUE- FOR 4th,5TH, 6TH AND 7TH GRADERS
Nine years ago, LIFHA started competitive play on Fall Sunday afternoons so young players could travel and represent their schools in our Junior League Program. Current registration includes a clinic on the turf at ADELPHI UNIVERSITY and a 5 game travel schedule.
All you need to get started is PASSION, a parent/organizer and an e-mail to this web site.Also coaches, this is a great way to help your seniors give back to your program and receive community service at the same time.
ADELPHI UNIVERSITY HOSTS ANNUAL JUNIOR LEAGUE CLINIC ON STADIUM TURF - SEPT 25th, 2011
Adelphi University Coach, Gloria O'Connor (Carle Place High School graduate), annually sponsors our Lifha Junior League program with her players hosting a skills clinic prior to our round-robin tournament. By the smiles on everyones faces and skills that are demonstrated, it's easy to see every year that a good time is had by all who attend.

JOAN GRUNEBAUM MEMORIAL- Co-Sponsored with the Nassau County Coaches Association- *OUR 10th ANNUAL IS SEPTEMBER 8th 2012*
In September of 2002, the Nassau County Coaches Association lost a dear friend when Joan Grunebaum, long time coach at Great Neck North, passed away very suddenly. To honor her memory, a Memorial Tournament was started and has become an annual event with 100% participation from Nassau County field hockey teams. As a result of Joan's passion for the Special Olympics, it was decided that they would be the recipients of all monies raised.
Anyone wanting to make their donation to the "great neck spirits", can email me. Our 9 year total is just over $50,000!
