Background on Liberty Cheer.
The Liberty Cheer program started on RAF Lakenheath last year during the basketball season, so this is our 1 year anniversary of the program.
The program combines cheerleading skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. They support the other athletes in the Lakenheath youth sports programs by cheering them on during sporting events.
There are several squads in the program. Cheerleaders are separated based on skill level and age level based on USASF/IASF standards.
"Tiny" ages 5 & 6 - Level 1 (Tiny Pink and Green Squads)
"Mini" 8 & under - Levels 1-3 (Mini Blue Squad)
"Youth" 11 & under - Levels 1-3 (Youth Gold Squad)
"Junior" 14 & under - Levels 1-5 (Junior Blue Squad)
"Senior" 12 to 18 - Levels 2-5 ( Senior Red Squad )
