Lakeland Girls Softball: LGSA News

Our next meeting will be on Thurdsay, December 17th at 7pm.  It will be held at JW's.  All officers and coaches must attend.

-          we received 2 grants – one for $5k and another for $15k

-          we started work on a new refreshment stand and indoor bathrooms

-          we purchased new equipment for the stand

-          we installed a new flag pole which was dedicated on opening day to mr jack beecroft

-          we installed new fencing on the 2 backstops

-          we installed a new fence behind the first base dugout running the length of the road

-          a new sewer line was installed from the old stand to the new stand

-          2 new backstop pads were purchased to stop the balls from hitting the fence which causes it to bow out

-          yellow fence cap was installed around the 2 fields. This is for safety and plus it looks nice.

-          new infield dirt was spread out on the front field

-          a new scoreboard was donated and installed on the front field

-          the old scoreboard was moved to the back field

-          many new sign sponsors were obtained in 2009

-          purchased new equipment to maintain the field

-          hosted a successful U10 Valley Classic Tournament and U12 All Star Tournament. 

-          purchased full uniforms for the girls for the first time instead of tshirts!
