U-14 Champions
Idle Hour Lanes won the Turnpike U-14 championship on Tuesday. After losing the first game 9-2 to Connell Park on Monday, they bounced back and took the 2nd game of the doubleheader 12-2 in 5 innings. On Tuesday, after spotting Connell Park 3 runs in the first, they clawed thier way back and scored the winning run in the 5th. The team made several outstanding defensive plays to preserve the 6-5 win and bring home the championship.
Congratulations to the girls and the coaches!

U-16 Playoffs Update
Universal Colors Lab's downed Lane's Crane 7-6 on Monday They play again at 6pm Wednesday in Olyphant.

U-12 All Star Tournament Update

| Tripp Park Blue | |
Congratulations to the Dunmore Red Softball team on winning the 2008 Lakeland Girls Softball Tournament that concluded on Sunday. Dunmore went undefeated during the tournament and in the first game of the Finals downed Tripp Park Blue by scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Also, congratulations to Tripp Park for coming out of the losers bracket and winning 5 games straight to reach the finals and finishing 2nd.
Lakeland All Stars lost to Tripp Park in the losers bracket final and came in 3rd.

All Star Tournament Thank You
We would like thank everyone who supported the All Star Tournament held this past week. It would not have been possible without all the hard work by everyone who worked the stand and groomed the fields, emptied the trash and kept score.
We would especially like to thank our own "Mario Batali", Doug Calzola for whipping up the many of the delicious foods we had during the week. Our "George Toma", Steve Chrzan and his assistants, Pat Kraky and Jamie Larkin for keeping the fields in top condition. We received many compliments on our food and our fields and it is due to the hard work that these guys put in this week.
Thank you for all the parents and kids that worked during the week. The tournament was very successful and we could only pull it off with your help.

Dickson City Tournament
Congratulations to the U12 All Stars for finishing 2nd in the Dickson City tournament. Despite a very difficult week, they showed their heart and determination throughout the tournament.
We are very proud of you!
