All Star Update
7/8/8

District 10s - Jake Lenti didn't like the fact that the announcers in Pleasantdale kept mispronouncing his name and took it out on an overmatched team from Riverside by slamming a home run, making a great defensive play and pitching out of a bases loaded jam. Tyler Haage and Ricky "Body of Work" Walsh were the other hitting stars for LGP. Kevin Rius pitched two strong innings for LGP. Final score LGP 13 - Riverside 2. Come watch the 10s tonight take on Pleasantdale at 5:30 or tomorrow against La Grange at 8:00.

District 12s -  The 12s lost 12 - 4 to South Cicero in a game that was much tighter than the final score shows. Chris Myslicki pitched great, Matt O'Hea had two hits and Andy Chorley had a triple. Come watch the 12s tonight 5:30 at Hanesworth take on Stickney who lost a squeaker last night to powerful La Grange 31 -  0.

District Juniors - beat Brookfield last night 11 - 9. They take on North Riverside tonight at 8:00 in Berwyn.

The 8s  - Our 8s traveled down to Homer Glen where Little League isn't a passion, it's a religion, and more than held there own in their first all-star game ever and against two very good teams. Coach Campo team's lost 8 - 2 to Lisle. Pat Siepman, Jacob Hollowed and Mauricio Espitia all pitched well and Cole Stephenson had a inside the park home run for LGP. Coach Lyons team fell 3 - 1 to Bloomingdale.  Nathan Myslicki, Bredan Pugliese and Michael Henehan all pitched well and Sam Rodewald, Brendan Copp and John Lyons each had hits. Henehan was named MVP by the Bloomingdale team.  I am guaranteeing a 8s LGP win on Thursday at 8:00. How can I be so certain? Both teams are playing each other.

And over in Hinsdale

The 9s are a combined 3 -1 in a very tough Hinsdale tournament. Coach Veome's team took care of a scrappy team for Evergreen Park after a key bases loaded hit by Adrian Castellon. In their second game, Roger's team took the Hinsdale A team (a.k.a, as the '27 Yankees) into the sixth inning tied 2 - 2 before Big Red rallied. It was a great effort by LGP. They take on Bolingbrook tonight at 7:30 at beautiful Pearce Park in Hinsdale.

Pat Bresnahan 9s are 2 - 0 at Hinsdale after defeating Bolingbrook and handily taking care of the Hinsdale B team. They take on mighty Burr Ridge Wednesday at 7:30 at Pierce Park. Pat claims there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that he borrowed one of the Hinsdale guy's Lear Jets to fly up to Wisconsin and pick up Nick Dorner so he could be back for Sunday's game.

The District 11s open play in Pleasantdale on Thursday.

The 10s Travel team open play in Lisle  on Wednesday.

The 11s Travel teams open play in Lisle next week.
