History of the Lewisville WAVE
The Lewisville WAVE Swim Team was originally begun as a summer swim lesson/feeder program for the LAC swim team. In 1988, LAC passed the program to the City of Lewisville for management. That was when the team became to be named the "WAVE" and was first affiliated with the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF). The first team colors were red, white and black (the red represented Marcus High School, the white represented Lewisville High School and the black represented LAC). Over the years, the team colors changed to the colors of the City of Lewisville, which are red, white and blue.
