Walk-in registration will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Greene Turtle on February 6th, 13th, and 27th. You can also pick up & drop off forms at Lewes Printing behind Walgreens on Savannah Road. IMPORTANT: If you are not located within our boundaries, you must complete a waiver to play in Lewes and be covered by Little League insurance. I will post a boundary map shortly for you to double check. T-BALL INFORMATION The child must be 5 by April 30, 2012 to play. For the t-ball division there is practice before the season starts which tends to decrease and stop as the season gets under way. There is one game during the week at 5:30 (day rotates) and one game on Saturday (time rotates, game times start at 10 and then every 1:30) for each of the teams. Mandatory Try-outs All Boys ages 8-12 and Girls ages 9-12 not already on a Major League roster. You must attend one try-out and only one. Try-outs will be held in the gym at Beacon Middle School. Try-outs are only for team and division placement. No child who register gets cut. The try-out schedule is as follows - please arrive a few minutes early to sign in: Saturday March 3rd 9:00-10:30 AM Boys ages 8-9 10:30-11:15 AM Boys age 10 11:15-12:00 PM Boys ages 11-12 12:00-1:00 PM Girls ages 9-12 Tuesday March 6th 6:00-6:45 PM Girls ages 9-12 6:45-7:50 PM Boys ages 8-9 7:50-8:30 PM Boys age 10 8:30-9:00 PM Boys ages 11-12 Poker at the Beach - Upcoming Nights Just letting y'all know about the upcoming Lewes Little League benefit nights at Poker at the Beach, located in the shopping center across from Safeway just before the Rehoboth Diner. February 15th Pets Pets are not allowed at the Little League fields. Please leave your pets at home. All schedules and results below are from the 2011 season. Please Note: In general, games will not be postponed before 4 pm on Weekdays or 9 am on Saturdays. In addition, the weather at the Little League Park can be very different from Milton, Rehoboth, or west of Route 1. Outfield sign sponsorships - We have sign space available. The cost is $125 to hang a sign and the commitment is for one year. The sign should be on a 3'6" to 4' x 8' plywood board - please note 4' tall board has to be sunk into the ground a few inches to be below top of fence, but this can be done. Please contact us at lewesll@mchsi.com if interested. For those little leaguers who have aged out of Lewes Little League, in other words, you're over 12, you can still play Little League. You just need to contact Cape League which covers the Lewes, Milton, and Rehoboth area for kids 13-18. Their website is www.eteamz.com/capeleague.
