In-N-Out Burger
|
100% pure beef. 100% pure In-N-Out At In-N-Out Burger, freshness is everything. That's why in a world where food is often chemically processed, prepackaged and frozen, at In-N-Out we make everything the old fashioned way. Our hamburgers are made from fresh, 100% pure beef, selected and ground by our own butchers. Our lettuce is hand-leafed. Our American cheese is the real thing. And we use the plumpest, juiciest tomatoes we can find. All of our ingredients are delivered fresh to our stores, daily. In fact, we don't even own a microwave, heat lamp, or freezer. We even bake our buns using old-fashioned, slow-rising sponge dough. And we make every burger one at a time, cooked fresh to order. Of course, what's a great burger without great fries? At In-N-Out, we know a french fry is only as good as the potato it comes from. That's why we use the highest grade potatoes and ship them fresh from the farm. Then we cut them right in the store, one potato at a time. And cook them in 100% pure, cholesterol-free vegetable oil. To top it all off, we also make our delicious shakes from real ice cream -- just like we used to make at the first In-N-Out back in 1948. We wouldn't do it any other way. Because when it comes to burgers, fries and shakes, getting fresh is a good thing. |

OUR FAMOUS ½ LB. STEERBURGER "A MEAL NOT JUST A MOUTHFUL" The Boll Weevil Restaurants began back in 1967. When Fred and Lorraine Halleman opened the first one, they had no idea the huge success they would become. The Hallemans had already owned a steak house called "The Cotton Patch", from which they cut all of their meat fresh daily. So instead of throwing away what could not be used, they would grind the trim and make ground sirloin. The amount of ground up meat was so much they could not utilize all of it, so they decided to open a "Hamburger Stand" right next door and sell burgers. The idea was great, but with the fierce competition in the restaurant business, Fred knew that he had to do something that was out of the ordinary and would capture the publics attention. With that came the "Boll Weevil", selling 1/2 pound Steerburgers, along with the famous condiment tray to build your own burger just how you liked it. In the begining, Halleman would grind the meat and prepare the burgers himself. However, in a few short months he could no longer keep up with the demand and had to turn to beef suppliers who could turn out hundreds of thousands of patties. The goal was to keep the operation simple... beer, Steerburgers, soft drinks, and pool tables. Since those early days, "Boll Weevil" has expanded it's menu to include a variety for the customer to choose from, but the build-your-own "Steerburger" remains the all-time favorite! The "Boll Weevil" is still a family owned business with several franchises. But no matter how far away from that original little "Hamburger Stand", the standards are still exceptionally high, consistently stressing quality control along with excellent service. |
