Second Half Information

As we enter the second half of the season it is imperative that Managers, and those who serve as Umpires, review the Little League Baseball Rules and Regulations AND the Local League Rules and Regulations, especially in the A Minor and AA Minor Divisions.  All Divisions need to review the Time Limits, remember, the Time Limit, if applicable, is determined from the SCHEDULED START TIME, not the actual start time.

We have already lost two large rakes, a 100 ft hose, including the nozzle and quick-connect coupling, and a BRAND NEW set of bases ($ 450.00) for Freedom Field.  The Home Team of the last scheduled game of the day is REQUIRED to remove and store all bases, and other League property in the brown storage bin next to the Tee Ball Field.  Bases will no longer be available for practice.  PLEASE DO NOT STORE ANY EQUIPMENT IN THE REST ROOMS.

The Board of Directors, at the next regular meeting, will discuss and possibly vote to change how the league championships will be determined in the Junior and AAA Minor Divisions.  Managers will be informed of any changes.

Thank You

First and foremost, to the parents, and others who have volunteered their time and energy as Managers, Coaches, Team Moms, volunteer Umpires, Concession workers and in countless other ways - all the children - especially yours - fully appreciate your dedication and support of their baseball program.  The success of the league is in direct proportion to the number of volunteers who dedicate their support for their children's Little League Program.  It's not too late - VOLUNTEER.

Update for Umpires

The league began paying for contract umpires in the Junior and Intermediate Divisions, beginning April 1st.
We are still working to complete volunteer umpire schedules for the AAA Minor and Major Divisions, assistance will certainly be appreciated.

Snack Bar

The children participating in the league appreciate the dedication and hard work of those parents who donate their time to run the Snack Bar.

If the Snack Bar is closed during your game it is because there are no volunteers staffing it.  People sign up for shifts and fail to show up.  Others question why they "have" to work in the Snack Bar, and there are those who flatly refuse to work there.  Minimum staffing is three ADULTS per shift.  We do allow for high school students who are working their Community Service requirements, otherwise no one under the age of 18 is allowed.  Don't send children to do an adult's job.

The Player Registration Fees DO NOT cover all league costs. The Snack Bar is a VITAL source of revenue to help meet league expenses.

As we near the end of the season we must make hard choices regarding what type (if any) of trophies will be purchased, and whether or not there will be money available to pay tournament fees. These issues become discretionary.  There are obligations that must be given first priority, including paying the city for field lighting ($ 7500.00 est), and this year, because of  the lack of volunteer umpires we were forced to pay for umpires in the Junior and Intermediate Divisions ($ 1890.00)

Fundraisers certainly help, as do Sponsors (only two so far this year), but the lion's share of income is derived from Snack Bar operations.  We need your help.
