News and Events:
Registration: Final registration will be held during tryouts on Saturday March 3rd, 10:00am – 12:00pm at the new Double Play Sports & Fitness, located at 190 Main Street Cherry Valley, behind Eller’s Restaurant.
Players MUST be registered to be considered eligible in the draft, player registrations received after March 3rd are not guaranteed a roster spot and will be accepted to fill open spots as needed. Please have all required documents and registration fee of $85 for T-ball – LL major…JR and SR league registrations will be accepted without fee at this time. Jr & Sr league tryouts and/or cuts will occur once the number of interested players is determined, registration fee of $130 will be due once the teams are selected.
Registration form and fee can also be completed and mailed with a check to: Leicester Little League PO Box 393 Leicester MA 01524 or can be completed on line here. If registering online, please be sure to mail the registration form to the PO Box address or email to paulsteiger@charter.net, which will complete the registration process. First year players must provide a copy of birth certificate.

Tryouts: AAA minor, LL major, JR & SR division tryouts will be Saturday March 3rd at Double Play Sports & Fitness. T-Ball and AA minor players do not tryout. Any player wishing to advance or required by age to advance leagues must try out, players who will remain in the same league/team are not required to try out. AAA minor division consist of players age 9 & 10 (by May 1st), 8 yr olds are eligible through tryout however player selections are at the discretion of each manager. LL major division consist of players age 11 & 12 (by May 1st), 10 yr olds are eligible through tryout however player selections are at the discretion of each manager. JR league consists of players age 13 & 14 (by May 1st). SR league consist of players age 15 & 16 (by May 1st). Tryouts will start promptly at the times listed, please be sure to allow time for registration if you have not already done so. Players should come prepared with their personal gear and sneakers, NO CLEATS, bats and batting helmets will be available as needed.

Team managers will contact each of their rostered players with season details in a timely manner.
Coach Clinic: Little Leagues " Big Al " coaching clinic will be coming to District 5 again this year, Saturday March 31st at the Shaw School in Millbury. All new and returning managers and coaches are strongly encouraged to attend, the Leicester Little League will cover the fee for this clinic…more info will be available at our March coaches meeting.
Umpire Clinic:
This clinic is a 3 night course, attendees are expected to attend all 3
sessions. Availability for this clinic is limited so please contact Kevin Colby
at kcolbyc@aol.com if you are interested.
Wednesday February 29, 2012 6-9pm at the Oxford Police Department
in the Community Room (503 Main Street) please park next door at the middle
school.
Wednesday March 7, 2012 6-9pm at the Oxford Police Department Community Room
Thursday March 15, 2012 6-9pm at the Oxford Community Center (Gym) for mechanics. (The Oxford Community Center is the old, old, Oxford Middle School in the center of town.
Opening Day Parade: Opening day is scheduled for Saturday April 21st. Team and individual pictures will be take in the Becker College gym prior to the parade, times TBD.
