Legends Sports 2008/2009 Flag 7v7 flag Tournament Rules

608-692-8289

  1. These rule are specific to tournament play for the State of Wisconsin 7v7 Flag teams. For all other rules please refer to Legend Sport League rules if not listed there will default to Wisconsin WIAA High school rules.
  2. Teams will be given 3 time outs per half. In OT team will get 2 time outs.
  3. On the coin flip you will not have a chance to defer until the second half. You will have to pick offence or defense. If you pick the ball the other person picks the side they want to defend. If you pick to go on defense you get to pick the side you want to defend. The reason we do this is the one team dose not have unfair advantage. We are not playing a full football game and time and position is a factor on the field. On regulation football field teams may get as little as one position in the first half.
  4. You may pass forward as many times as you want behind the line of scrimmage.
  5. All waver and roster forms and money must be handed in before the first game.
  6. On missed field goal the ball will be placed on the spot of the hold
  7. Punt  teams will be 7v7.  Kicking team  will be no further than 14 yards deep
  8. Touch backs come out to the 20 yard line
  9. Clock will stop in the last Two Minuets of the game. (Regular NFL Football)
  10. No shoving out of bounds players must go for the flag. This may considered a tackle 15 auto first
  11. Flag guarding the ball is down right there and back 10 Yards.
  12. All shirts must be tucked in to start the play. The ball carrier will be called down if the defender touches him with two hands if his shirt is hanging over his belt. So if the defender swipes @ the belt hangs on the player the ball will be placed at the spot where the defender first swiped at the belt.
  13. All players must have 3 flag on their belt system.
  14. No flag guarding. If we see it you are down right there and back 10 yards.
  15. Sacks will not be call unless you have clearly grabbed the flags before the QB’s arm is moving forward.
  16. Player should always tuck in shirts before play begins.
  17. Offensive team can dive to catch the ball but can not dive for the first down or the touch down.
  18. Defensive team can dive for the flags.
