LOST at Pine Forest

Hey Gators!

Tonight is our final dual meet of the season. We will be at Pine Forest Country Club. The pool address is 1000 Congressional Blvd, Summerville, SC 29483. Please arrive at the pool by 5:30pm. When you enter the pool, the left-hand side of the deck will be the designated area for our swimmers to sit, please have your swimmer sit in this area with their teammates. The coaches and marshals will make sure they get where they need to be. There will also be an area for our families to sit. The warm-ups start at 6pm for our team. The meet starts at 6:30pm. Parent volunteers please see LOST Board Members during team warm-ups at 6pm, volunteer meeting is normally around 6:15pm.

Pine Forest concessions will have pizza, hotdogs, and plenty of drinks and other snacks. In addition, their club and cabana bar will be open for business. Bathrooms are on deck. If we have inclement weather our families will be welcome in the club to wait out the storm. DO NOT leave the pool if we have an inclement weather delay, please head to the clubhouse or your car. We will be in touch through the Remind 101. Enter this number: 81010 and text this message: @lostgators, to join if you haven't already. On swim meet days it’s important to make sure your swimmers stay out of the sun, rest, eat well, and hydrate. Meet can be long, hot, and exciting. Pasta and other carbohydrate meals are great dinner options, make sure to feed them before the meet if possible. We want to make sure our swimmers are prepared to swim their personal best at each meet.

Swimmers are not allowed in the main pool or baby pool at meets, unless it is warmups or a race. During down times from swimming please encourage your swimmer to hydrate, eat healthly snacks, and rest in the team area.

Please make sure that we take good care of our pool by cleaning up any trash before, during, and after the meet. Leave it better than we found it!

Please also remind your swimmers to show good sportsmanship after each of their races by shaking hands with the swimmers in the lanes next to them and offering the kind words of “Good Job or Good Race.” It’s such a nice habit to get into as an athlete.

***DO NOT leave the pool if we have an inclement weather delay, please head your car. We will be in touch through the Remind 101. Enter this number: 81010 and text this message: @lostgators, to join if you haven't already.***

***If you need to leave a meet early please make sure your swimmer checks in with Coach Virginia or Coach Maddy. We want to make sure they have completed all their races and we don’t need them to fill in for missing swimmers.***

Swim Meet Day Reminder:
