It is with much excitement that the Little League Board announces that we are going ahead with a huge construction project to improve our facilities. Please volunteer any time, skills and just plain labor you can to make this a successful project.
After 18 months of plan revisions and meetings with various committees and City Officials, Phase One of the project has been completed. The Project at hand is to construct an additional softball field which will be a mirror image next to Field #3. The new Softball Press Box is 85% complete and has been constructed to service both Field #3 and Field #4, the other part of this project is to turn Field #2 around so that home plate will be a mirror image of Field #1 and be next to the concession stand. Now we must come together and collectively work to meet certain deadlines. We ask anyone who can help or has the contacts to help assist us in any way possible as we need to have these tasks completed in the next few days. The new fields have been seeded and we hope since we are little behind schedule that grass pops up before a freeze. We will notify all that may be interested when the next work days will be.
There will be numerous other tasks to be completed after Phase #2 is done to ensure having the field somewhat playable by Spring. It will not be playable if we don’t have volunteer assistance.
