LCRFC is now recruiting Men's and Women's U-19 15 a side teams!

The Lewis County RFC is now recruiting members for our inaugural U-19 season with play starting in February as part of the Rugby Washington Youth league. Currently Rugby in Washington is doing well with over 20 teams participating statewide. Many of these teams have members who have gone on to play in college or professionally.

Our plan is to recruit 15-20+ players for our Men's team tenatively called the "Leopards" and for our women's team tentatively called the "Lynx" to align with the "cat' names that are popular for Lewis County teams. LCRFC is at this time a club sport with varsity status being discussed for high school play but will be a few years away. Our team will be U-19 but within the league there are U-16 and U-14 teams that play.

The cost to play is unknown at this time but we will work with families and possible team sponsors to keep player out of pocket expenses at a minimum. The anticipated costs we see immediately will be for Team/player registration with USA Rugby and Rugby Washington. This will give our program insurance and permission to play as part of the league. We will also need to obtain uniforms for play. Our colors tentatively are green and black which was agreed upon in 2005 when the last Lewis County team "The Spartans" Men's U-19 team took the field. Final color schemes for both teams will be open for discussion.
