MISSION
The Lax Dawgs Starz team is an elite club lacrosse team made up of the top lacrosse players throughout the greater Southern San Diego area. The mission of Lax Dawgs Starz is to provide the optimal environment for player development by learning from highly qualified coaches and competing with and against the top players from the West. Our goal is to develop a player throughout his/her, Youth (Boys Only), Middle School and High School career and additionally provide players with viable opportunities for collegiate lacrosse play. So far we have reached both goals by developing the best players from each area team while having a near perfect recruitment rate for graduating seniors. Many of our Lax Dawgs Starz alumni are playing lacrosse for top NCAA teams.
HISTORY
The Lax Dawgs Club was formed in 2004 and has quickly established itself among the top lacrosse programs in the West. We compete in the Starz Lacrosse League and attend the Adrenaline team event series at the end of each season. The competitive play in both practice and the games prepares the players to be competitive at the highest level of the game.
PLAYER REGIONS
Historically our players are selected from a tryout consisting of the top players from all southern San Diego County. Past players have been from the following areas and schools:
High School: Coronado, La Jolla, La Jolla Country Day, Granite Hills*, Foothills Christian *,Cathedral, Serra, Grossmont*, Patrick Henry, Great Oak, University City, Mira Mesa, Pruess
Middle School: Coronado, Muirlands, Francis Parker, De Portola, Parkway, Sacred Heart, Temecula Valley, Pershing, All Hallows
Youth Teams: Coronado, Francis Parker, The Rock, Stella Maris, Parkway, Christ Church, Lewis Middle, Dana, Bird Rock, Mt. Everest, Scripps, Silvergate
