Lawrence Baseball & Softball: Welcome

Welcome to the Web Site for Lawrence Little League Baseball, Little League Softball and Babe Ruth Baseball.  Lawrence Little League Baseball and Softball are part of NJ District 12 and Lawrence Babe Ruth is part of Southern NJ District 1.  Our Little League Baseball program is for boys ages 8-12, Little League Softball is for girls ages 8-15 and our Babe Ruth Program is for boys ages 13-15.

2010 Spring Baseball Registration

The Registration Forms for 2010 Babe Ruth & Little League Baseball & Softball are now available.  Register by 10/31/2009 to save!  Form are below and can be mailed into our PO Box.

LTJBSA Holiday Party

The LTJBSA will be hosting a Holiday Party at Amalfi's Restaurant following the December 9th 2009 meeting.  The Meeting will also be held at Amalfi's Restaurant starting 7:30pm.  The party will be a special thank you to all the coaches & volunteers who contributed their time during the 2009 season.  LTJBSA will provide pizza, wings & soda.  Their will be a cash bar available.

2009 Little League Fall Ball

This fall, Little League Baseball will have Fall Ball on Friday nights from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Colavita Field.  Please complete the below registration form.  The focus on the fall ball program will be for players ages 8-10.  Any player who will be 8 years old by 4/30/10 is eligible to participate.  The season will run from 9/11/09 - end of October, weather permitting.

Central Park Fields Closed this fall

As part of the Fields Upgrade plan, this fall Lawrence Township Public Works Dept. will be doing work on all 4 baseball fields at Central Park.  The only field available this fall will be Colavita Field.  Work on the infields of Hughes Field, Carroll Field, Grant Field and the Babe Ruth Field are currently being done.

The Babe Ruth Field and Hughes Field will have the infields turned over and a new infield mix and top dressing added.  Carroll Field and Grant Field will have their infields turned over.  Goal of this project is to try and get the rain water to drain on all the fields.  We appreciate your cooperation as the township continues to assist us.

Babe Ruth Fall Prep League

Any baseball player who will be 13 for the 2010 season who is interested in joining the Babe Ruth Fall Ball Prep Team, please email Ed Speidel at ed.speidel@comcast.net

The Presidents of District 12 Little League have also established the Jim Davis Sportsmanship Award, an award that is presented annually by District 12 to a 12 year-old baseball and softball player from each league. Beginning with the 2005 Tournament, the twenty member Leagues of District 12 were asked to nominate one 12 year-old baseball and one 12 year-old softball player to receive this honor, symbolic of Jim’s interest in every 12 year- old player, not just the all stars. The Jim Davis Sportsmanship Award is presented to all of the nominees at pre-game ceremonies of the District 12 Championship Baseball and Softball Games.
