14U Lightning Girls meet the #1 Lady Vols
  The Lightning Girls took "A Field Trip of a Lifetime" on Saturday, April 21st to watch the #1 Tennessee Lady Vols Softball team play the Auburn Tigers. Tennessee played two exciting games, winning the first by a score of 10-1, followed by a 2-1 win that took eight innings to complete. Following the second game, the Lady Vols talked to our girls and signed autographs. Coach Ralph Weekly then took the Lightning Girls onto the field at Tyson Park, to get their picture taken with the Lady Vols!!

"Lightning Kick Off 2007 Season"
Lawrenceburg Lightning 14U Softball Team got the 2007 year started by playing in the Sonic Southern Showdown this weekend in Franklin, TN. Lightning Girls played hard in a six game pool finishing at 3 wins and 3 loses. They came out a little flat on Saturday going 1 and 3, but the Lightning came together as a team in their final game with a 7-0 shutout on Sunday and look ready to "POUND IT!" in their upcoming tournaments.

SOUTHERN FASTPITCH BORDER WAR
"LIGHTNING WINS BATTLE AT SOUTHERN BORDER WAR"
Lightning 14U were crowned as the "Southern Fastpitch Border War Champs" after going 4-0 this weekend in Selmer,TN. Great defense prevailed as the Lightning Girls held their competition to only one run for the tournament and become World Series Qualified. Way to go "Pound It" Lightning!

"LIGHTNING FINISH THIRD AT THE
USSSA TRIPLE PLAY!"
Lawrenceburg Lightning overcame a long, muddy, HOT day at Triple Creek Park in Gallitin,TN. The Lightning Girls were at the ball park for 13 hours straight, playing in 5 games with very little break in between each game. Lawrenceburg played spectacular this weekend on defense, turning double plays and commiting very few errors.

West Tennessee Memorial Blast
"Lightning Flex Some Muscle In Savannah"
Four Lawrenceburg Lightning Teams went to Savannah this weekend to play in the West Tennessee Memorial Blast. All four teams ended up in the Championship games in their brackets. Congratulations to the Lawrenceburg Lightning 10U, 12U and 16U for all finishing in 2nd Place in their divisions, and to the Lawrenceburg Lightning 14U for
another 1st Place Finish.

Lightning Finish 3rd at Inman-Rose Memorial
Lawrenceburg Lightning started slow this weekend in Columbia, TN. After getting knocked into the Loser's bracket in their first game Saturday, the Lightning Girls fought hard and wound up with another 3rd place finish. Way to come back and battle Lightning.

Lawrenceburg Lightning 14U won seven straight games this weekend at the 6th Annual Randy Smith Memorial NIT in Franklin, TN. Once again the Lightning Girls played GREAT defense going undefeated on the way to their third 1ST Place Trophy of the year.

Another Undeafeated Weekend for the
Lightning Girls
Lawrenceburg Lightning had another PERFECT tournament this weekend at the 3rd Annual Let'em Fly in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Once again the Lightning Defense was Dazzling with double plays and great pitching, while the Lightning Bats were Electric scoring a total of 51 runs in six games.

NSA Rec/All-Star State Champs
"Lightning Girls take a break to Win State"
As the Lawrenceburg Lightning took a much needed break this weekend after playing 7 weeks in a row. Three of their players competed in the NSA Rec Tennessee State Championship. Lindsay McLain, Kate Morris(named Best Defensive Player) and Shea Morris(named as MVP) helped the Lawrenceburg 14U Allstar Team bring home the State Title.

Lawrenceburg Lightning won another trophy this weekend at the USSSA 3rd Annual Fireworks Feud in Savannah, TN. It was a weekend where the Lightning Girls didn't play at their best, but still finished in 3rd place.

Lightning Fall Short On Quest For State Title!
The Lawrenceburg Lightning couldn't get their bats going this weekend at the USSSA STATE TOURNAMENT in Crossville, TN. The Lightning Girls played well on defense for most of the tournament but struggled to get runs across the plate all weekend.

Lawrenceburg Lightning 14U took a fun trip to Pigeon Forge, TN to play in the "4TH ANNUAL SEAA WORLD SERIES WARM UP." The Lightning Girls went 3 and 2 but played hard and had alot of fun. Pound It! Lightning!

"Lightning HEAT UP in Lawrenceburg!!!"
Lawrenceburg Lightning 14U was as HOT as the 90+ temperatures this weekend in the 9th Annual Lawrenceburg Lightning Classic at the Bobby Brewer Softball Complex in Lawrenceburg, TN. Lightning Girls played their best Defense of the year only allowing 2 runs in five games, but it was the BATS that came alive on offense this weekend and scored 39 runs. Way to Go Girls!

"LAWRENCEBURG LIGHTNING END SEASON AS #1 TEAM IN TENNESSEE!"
Lawrenceburg Lightning 14 and Under concluded their season #1 in the state of Tennessee and #6 in the nation in the USSSA. The Lightning finished their season with five 1st-place finishes out of 11 tournaments. The Lightning Girls ended with a season record of 42-14 and a team batting average of 348.
