Sunday, August 910th Annual Lawrenceburg Lightning Classic
"Lightning End Summer Season by hosting the 10th Annual Lightning Classic"
The Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Fastpitch Softball team played in their last tournament of the Summer while hosting one of the BEST tournamanets of the year. This year's Lawrenceburg Lightning Classic was a BIG HIT, hosting 23 teams from TN and AL. The Lightning Girls ran out of gas on Sunday and finished as the Runner-up in the 18U division, despite only allowing 3 runs all weekend.

2009 Tennessee Summer Exposure
Lightning Makes Strong Showing in 56 Team College Exposure Tournament.
Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U finished in 5th place out of 56 teams at the Tennessee Summer Exposure tournament in Murfreesboro, TN. This exposure tournament hosted some of the best 18U Gold, 18UA and 16UA teams from 10 different states and had 38 college coaches in attendance. The Lightning Girls went 6-0 in the pool play rounds to get a number 1 seed in Sunday's 24 team single elimination bracket. Lightning made it all the way to the quarter finals before losing to the Wisconsin Bandits 18U Gold team.

USSSA TENNESSEE A CLASS STATE TOURNAMENT
"STATE CHAMPIONS!"
The Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Fastpitch Softball Team are the 2009 Tennessee A Class State Champs after going UNDEFEATED at the USSSA State Tournament this weekend in Gallatin, TN. The Lightning Girls were outstanding, winning their 5th tournament of the year and now have a record of 30-2. Megan Stricklin was named as Best Offensive Player with her Homerun and Championship Game winning RBI and Shea Morris was the MVP after posting 41 strike outs over three games.

2009 USSSA Red-White-Blue Bash
Lawrenceburg Lightning Dominate Teams at the Next Level!!!
The 16U Lawrenceburg Lightning Fastpitch Softball Team played up in the 18U Division at the Red-White-Blue Bash this weekend in Mt. Juliet TN. The Lightning Girls, made up of 3 - 16 year olds, 4 - 15 year olds, and 2 - 14 year olds, played great against the Older 18U teams and only suffered one loss in the tourney but beat the 18U Crusaders 7-0 and the West TN Stars 3-0. The tournament was called because of RAIN before the Championship Game was played so Lightning had to settle with their 1st Runner Up finish of the year.

USSSA Middle Tennessee Summer Classic
Lightning Make It 4 in a Row!!
For the 4th Time in a Row the Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Fastpitch Softball Team is crowned as tournament champs! Lightning Girls beat the HOT weather and go Undefeated in the USSSA Middle Tennessee Summer Classic held at Fly Park in Franklin, TN. Lightning Pitching and Defense once again gets the job done, only allowing 3 runs all weekend!! Go Lightning!!!

2009 Team Worth Classic
Lightning Win at Fly Park Against Teams From All Over the Map!!
The Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Fastpitch Softball Team made it "Three In A Row" by winning the Team Worth Classic held at Fly Park in Franklin, TN. The Lightning Girls had to battle through a field of 14 teams from AL,KY,IL,IN and TN and only allowed three runs all weekend while going 6 and 1. Great Job Lightning!!!!

NSA Cane Ridge FREE Tournament
Lightning Win At Cane Ridge To
Make It Two In A Row!!
Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Girls make it two in a row by winning the 2nd Annual NSA Cane Ridge FREE Tournamnet in Antioch, TN. Lightning went 6-0 and came out on top of the 11 team tourny by only allowing 2 runs in six games played.

Randy Smith Memorial Classic
Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Win the Randy Smith Memorial Classic at Fly Park.
Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Fastpitch Softball Team started off the 2009 Travel Season by winning the Randy Smith Classic in Franklin, Tn. Lightning went 4-0 in the rained shortened tournament, out scoring the other teams 24 to 1.
