"STATE CHAMPIONS!"
The Lawrenceburg Lightning 16U Fastpitch Softball Team are the 2009 Tennessee A Class State Champs after going UNDEFEATED at the USSSA State Tournament this weekend in Gallatin, TN. The Lightning Girls were outstanding, winning their 5th tournament of the year and now have a record of 30-2. Megan Stricklin was named as Best Offensive Player with her Homerun and Championship Game winning RBI and Shea Morris was the MVP after posting 41 strike outs over three games.
