6/28/09 From Laurys AA President Ed Vasilik:
I am proud to announce that coach Mike Barna's Midget # 1 team beat Catasauqua 10-2 to win the Central Whitehall league Midget Championship. Great job goes out to the boys. I would also like to congratulate Coach Joe Samaritano'd Knee-Hi # 1 team on a fine season. They were on the losing end of a 3-2 game against Egypt # 1 in the championship game. Great job knee hi boys.

6/25/09 From Laurys AA Vice President Troy Holub:
I am proud to announce that Ian Webb's 12U girls defeated Lehigh Township 7 to 6 to take the 12U title. It was an exciting game - we scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to pull out the victory. Great job!!!! 4 for 4 - a clean sweep of the Championships at every level of the Parkland League. As far as we know this has never been done before - getting four teams into the Championship game and winning them all. We had a large cheering section last night - thanks for coming out and supporting us. Great job to all coaches, girls & parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am proud to announce that Troy Holub's 10U girls defeated Northwestern 11-2 to win their division championship. I also would like to congratulate Steve Piston's 14U girls on winning the 14U championship. They defeated an undefeated Bowmanstown team 7-6 to take the title. Great job. A big thanks goes out to Troy and Steve for coaching this season. Their hard work and preparation really paid off.
