Well it’s finally here…the beginning of another Club Season! As mentioned at our registration meeting, our opening season practice will be this coming Friday, November 9, at the Coast Guard gym on Sand Island. See below for more details:

What? – Opening Season (first) practice! This will be a MASS (all age groups) practice.

Where? - Coast Guard gym on Sand Island (see “Locations” on our website menu for instructions and directions to the Coast Guard gym).

When? – Friday, November 9, 2012

Time? – 6:00 to 8:30pm

Parents/Guardians, if you plan on bringing your child to practice, please make sure of the following first:

1. That your Car Registration, No-fault, Safety Check, and your driver’s license are current.

2. All Laule`a Volleyball “Registration” paperwork (5 documents) have been completed, signed, and received by Laule`a Volleyball. If you have not turned these in yet, make sure to bring them with you to practice. For the safety and protection of your child, Laule`a Volleyball, and all involved, we will not allow your child to practice if completed and signed paperwork are not received.

3. Coast Guard requires that we, Laule`a Volleyball, provide them with a names list of all adults who will be bringing or dropping off players to the gym. If you have not already given us your name, please email the following information to us no later than Thursday:

 i. Name of adult dropping off child (must be name on driver’s license)

ii. Name of child(ren) being dropped off

Email this info. to: lauleavolleyball@gmail.com . Please note that if your name is not on the list, the guard at the guardhouse will not allow you on to base.

Howzit Gang! Hurray! We have a date and time for our Club Registration Meeting! Be sure to mark your calendars:

What? – REGISTRATION MEETING for the 2012-2013 Club Volleyball Season

Where? – KAIMUKI COMMUNITY PARK GYM (3521 Waialae Ave, between 10th & 11th Ave)

When? – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2012

Time? – 7:30-8:30pm

 If you are interested in becoming part of the Laule`a ohana, or just want to check us out, we encourage you to attend this meeting. Go to the “Handouts” section of our website and click on “Registration”. Download, print, and complete all five (5) forms listed and bring ‘em with you to the meeting.

[PLEASE NOTE: If this is your first time playing club ball and registering with USAV, you must also submit a photo copy of your birth certificate together with the above mentioned forms.]

To all our returning players…you know the drill, you must also complete and submit all of the above forms.

Wow! Another exciting season of club volleyball is HERE!

We have added one more day to our CLINIC in Kaimuki! We've all been having a BLAST, that we've decided to enjoy having fun learning & teaching just a little longer.

The last day of clinic will be Monday, November 5th from 6:00-7:30PM. Please note that on this day, the clinic will only be for 1-1/2 hrs instead of the normal 2-1/2.

It's once again that time of the year when LAULE`A Volleyball provides FREE Volleyball Clinics to all young ladies ages 10-18 who are interested!

OVERVIEW

For beginners: Basic skills of volleyball will be taught and drilled. Emphasis will be placed on proper technique and development.

For Advanced participants: Higher-level skills, techniques and drills will be instructed.! 

Our clinics begin next Monday,  and every Monday after that for the rest of October from 6:00-8:30pm at Kaimuki Community Park gym. Here's a quick napshot of the schedule:

• Monday, 10/15/2012, 6-8:30pm, Kaimuki Community Park gym
• Monday, 10/22/2012, 6-8:30pm, Kaimuki Community Park gym
• Monday, 10/29/2012, 6-8:30pm, Kaimuki Community Park gym

Parent(s)/guardian(s), if you would like your child to participate in the clinics, please download, print, read, and sign our clinic registration/waiver form found in the "Handouts" section of our website, and bring it with you to the gym when you bring your child.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

A properly completed and signed Clinic Registration/Waiver Form must be submitted before your child will be allowed to participate in the clinics. Forms may be submitted at the gym to coach Tristan Ehia.

Hope you all had a SUPER summer! Just wanted to get this out there to all of our "millions and millions of fans...that the Ro!!" oops, my bad, got a little carried away there for second. Now where was I? Oh yes...check back with us around the beginning of October (2012) for information regarding the up coming 2012-2013 Club Season.

We had an AWESOME 2011-2012 season and are planning on an even BETTER 2012-2013!

Also wanted to remind our Juniors & Seniors who want to participate in the Las Vegas Classic in February 2013 (Tournament dates: 2/16-2/18/2013) to start planning, fundraising, & saving now for the trip. The trip will cost approx. $1,000-$1,200 per player, so please plan accordingly. (Note that consideration will be given to those who are not yet Juniors to participate in this tournament if they are able and want to travel).
