New #1 Team in Las Vegas
The BB's earned the right to be considered the number-one team in Las Vegas beating the Las Vegas Vipers 7-2. The BB's were on their game today getting great pitching from Joey R & Enzo as they shut down the Vipers. Defense was at a high with the BB's coming within a second of turning a triple play in the first inning. They continued stepping it up from the first innning and never looked back. They played with heart and determination wanting this win, to prove beyond a doubt that there is no better 12 year old team in Las Vegas. Joey pitched a great game until he was hit during an at bat. He wanted to continue but the coaches decided that caution was better served letting Enzo complete the game. And that he did. Enzo pitched a great game with Kiefer behind the plate. Our outfield(Andy, Jandy & Joey)was on the money getting the ball back into the infield and the infield was just as impressive. Dyllon, Trevor, Kris, Kiefer & Anthony played an awesome infield. Josh continued his roll as EH (extra hitter)hitting the ball hard. We can't wait until he is healthy and is able to go back on the field defensivly. Today the key word was TEAM! And boy did they play as one. Great Job BB's.
A little note from past games. Kiefer hit three homeruns in one game in the Peccole League, one was a grand slam and they were all against the Giants to assist the BB's in getting to the Championship Game. We then defeated the Redbirds 19-0. Well onward and upward as we prepare for this upcoming weekend. We have another game on Wednesday against the Thunder. Then we are off to play next weekend in the Mike Martin Halloween Classic. The BB's are looking impressive and we will definetly compete for the Title this weekend.
We had another car wash fund raiser this Sunday. It was a little slow but the kids seemed to have a great time. Well off to catch up on some fund raising work. Great Job BB's. Keep up the hard work!
