2nd Annual Las Ninas Hit-A-Thon
Friday, March 19th immediately following Opening Ceremonies

What is a Hit-A-Thon? The Hit-A-Thon is a fund-raising event for the Las Niñas Baja Fastpitch Softball League. The Hit-A-Thon will take place on opening night Friday March 19th, 2010. The Hit-AThon is a fun and exciting event and provides participants an opportunity to earn valuable prizes. Players will receive a Hit-A-Thon pledge form. They have two weeks to solicit sponsors. Sponsors will pledge either a "per foot" donation or a "flat" donation to support the player in the Hit-A-Thon. If the sponsor is paying a flat donation they can pay at the time they pledge or after the Hit-A-Thon has taken place. After the Hit-A-Thon, players will contact their sponsors to let them know their pledge total and collect the donation. Donations must be turned into the team manager no later then Tuesday, April 6th. Las Niñas is encouraging each player to generate a minimum of $30 in pledge money. We accept cash, check or money order.

What happens at the Hit-A-Thon? The Hit-A-Thon will take place on opening night, Friday March 19th. The Opening Ceremonies will begin at 4:45pm and the Hit-A-Thon will follow. Each team will have an assigned time to bat. Each player will hit off a batting tee so that every player will have an equal advantage. Each player will get 3 “at-bats”. The longest hit will be the one that counts and is recorded by a Las Niñas representative. Prizes will be given for the following:
o Prize for the 1st and 2nd longest hit per age division(6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U) if there is a tie we will draw a name
o Prize for the 1st and 2nd most money raised per age division (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U) if there is a tie we will draw a name
o Gift certificate to Peter Piper Pizza for the team that raises the most money
o Participation Las Niñas drawstring bag for every player that raises $20 dollars or more
Prizes to be posted on our website when available
We do not recommend door to door solicitation. Mom, Dad and other family members can help by taking pledge forms to work, to church and other adult activities. Visit local businesses. Many businesses are willing to and look forward to supporting youth sports.

6U (2 openings) AND 8U (4 openings)
6U and 8U DIVISION: We are accepting registration for the 6U division. Please send your registration form, web release form, copy of birth certificate AND payment to be placed on a team. Space is limited. Complete registration with payment will be placed in the order it is received.
10U and above DIVISON: Please mail in the registration form and web release to be placed on the waiting list (no payment necessary to be placed on the waiting list)
