POP WARNER MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Pop Warner Little Scholars is to enable young people to benifit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, Pop Warner programs teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that young people will use throughout their lives.
BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION IN POP WARNER

- Pop Warner Programs has no try outs or cutting of roster
- The only national youth sports organization in America that requires
participants to perform adequately in the class room.

- Pop Warner host an awards program each year to celebrate the
accomplishments of our participants in the Scholastic program.

- Pop Warner programs are required to annually conduct back ground checks on all Coaches, Board members, and any other volunteer who has repetitive contact with the Pop Warner children.
WHY CHOOSE POP WARNER
1. No TryOuts: Pop Warner programs have no try outs .2. It's Inexpensive: Signing up for LaPorte Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading is inexpensive. Our registration fee for 1st child is $120, 2nd child is $120 and 3rd child on is free from the same house hold.

5. Mandatory Play Requirement:
Everyone Participates under mandatory rules of play based on eligible players at the time of the game.
6. Age and Weight Structure:
Kids compete with kids of similar age and size. We set and enforce a strict AGE & WEIGHT MATRIX that reduces the risk and reality of injuries.
7. Zero Tolerence:
Pop Warner is a family oriented program. To keep it fun for the kids and adults, parents must sign a " Zero Tolerence" form.
FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS:
1) Im not sure if my 5 year old is ready for football.
Answer: 5 & 6 year olds will be playing in our Tiny Mite division which has weight min's and max's between 35-75 lbs. They will only play with kids their own age and weight. Remember, their all starting at the same level.
2) I want my child to play but I'm not sure if I can get them to all the practices.
Answer: Get with the head caoch and see if there is another family on the team that lives close who will help with transportation.
3) I have 3 kids that want to play but I cant aford to sign them up.
Answer: In LaPorte, after the first 2 kids the 3rd child in the house hold is FREE!
4) My family is new to Pop Warner, can you tell me a little about it?
Answer: Pop Warner is a national program in which boys and girls participate around the world. LaPorte Pop warner offers Football for boys and girls ages 5-12 and Cheerleading for boys and girls ages 5-15. The season starts August first and for many end the second week in October. Games are played on saturdays or Sundays. The sign up fee covers a secondary insurance and the rental of all equipment needed to play football as for the cheer leaders they too are issued the Cheer uniform except the under garments. LaPorte Pop Warner is a family oriented organization and we like to have a lot of fun. Sign ups will be in April and May, hope to see you then!
