PHELAN MORTGAGE MUSTANGS
OF THE GPMABL
The Lansdowne Mustangs Baseball Club was formed in the spring of 2002 so that the student athletes of Penn Wood High School could continue to play baseball throughout the summer. The club has evolved to include players from all around the Lansdowne area. The Mustangs have competed in the Senior EDCO League, The Tri-State NABA League, and The Greater Philadelphia MABL.
2002: Finished in 2nd place in the Senior EDCO League -Lost in the semi-finals

2003: Finished in 4th place in the Tri-State NABA 18A American League -Lost in the playoffs to the Camden Cubs

2003: Finished in 4th place in the Tri-State NABA Fall League -Lost in the playoffs to the Cinaminson Tribe
.
2004: Finished in 5th place in the Senior EDCO League -Eliminated the top seed from the playoffs before losing to Clifton PAL in the semi-finals

2005: Advanced to the second round of the Senior EDCO playoffs before falling to the eventual league champions

2006: Through the efforts of Dave Brownback and Seth Brunner the Mustangs were able to field two teams in two different leagues. The Mustangs of the Senior EDCO League battled throughout the season and missed the playoffs but still proved to be a tough team to beat. The Mustangs of the GPMABL lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Philadelphia Comets.

2007: The Mustangs improved to 12 -15 in the GPMABL. The Mustangs were upset in the playoffs by the MONTCO. Phillies. The Mustangs added some solid players and can't wait to continue to improve next season. Thank you to Leary's Pub for your sponsorship.

2008: The Mustangs lost in the second round of the GPMABL playoffs. The game was decided in the 12th inning to the eventual league champion Havertown Eagles. Thank you to Protective Video for your sponsorship.

2009: The Mustangs will be a tough team to beat. Top new players include OF Kurt Kebaugh, INF Mike Shalon, OF Jim Grafstrom, and INF Jim Curren. The pitching staff should be the best in rescent years with starters Andrew Reynolds, Joe O'Leary, the crafty Dave Jerdon, Ben Jones, and our ace - Andrew Fraser who is one of toughest pitchers in the league.
