Lanier County High School has just released the new schedule for 2009-2010. LAKELAND -- Lanier County qualified for a birth to the 2008 Class A State Playoffs with a 10-1 win over Seminole County and a 8-2 win over Miller County in the Region 1-A tournament this week in Tifton. The South Sectionals will be held this year at the Southern Pines Softball Complex in Dublin. The Lady Dawgs are scheduled to open the tournament in game one of the double elimination tournament on Friday, October 17th at 4:00pm. Over the last few years the state sectionals have been no stranger to Lanier County as 2008 will mark the nineth consecutive year the Lady Dawgs have made the trip to the South Sectionals in the GHSA Class A State Playoffs.
