Brian and Jim
It's all about the Nip these Days!
Brian and Jim Lang come to Blows
Last night Brian Lang found GM Jim Lang surfing through his detailed draft plans. After a very heated argument, the two came to blows. The fight spilled over to the back yard where they have a wrestling pit just for kicks. Rumor has it Brian won when he took a big bite out of Jims nipple. The picture was taken just before this powerful move. :)

here are the COMPLETE RATINGS FOR THE LEAGUE. OFFICIAL DRAFT TIME is 3:00 PM on Tuesday 8-9-05. PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING YOUR PRE-DRAFT PLANS AS WE ARE NOT GOING TO ALLOW MORE THAN ONE MINUTE PER SELECTION.

Rules and Guidelines
For
MADDEN 2006

Franchise:
-        At this Sunday’s meeting (June 5th 2005), GM’s will select, from a hat, their team which they will try to resurrect and dominate the NFL.
-        In the hat they will be 10 pieces of paper, AFC 1, AFC 2, etc. and NFC 1, NFC 2, etc. Whatever conference and number you get that is the number you get to pick your team. (EXAMPLE: GM Lang draws NFC 2 he will then be picking any NFC team, second.)
-        The Franchise will last 6 years and at the end of each year, WE WILL BE IMPORTING THE NCAA DRAFT CLASS FROM EACH YEAR. In the draft class, any player, from the NCAA game, that has a name, was either an All-American, or an overall ‘90’ or above.
Fantasy Draft:
-        The franchise starts with a fantasy draft. EVERY single player in the NFL is up for grabs. The fantasy draft starts randomly. After the number of USERS (GM’s) are selected and their teams are selected (which we will already have established), the draft coordinator will hit “Start Draft.” At this point the computer randomly selects which team will select first and so on. THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOWING WHO WILL HAVE THE FIRST PICK IN THE FANTASY DRAFT.
-        ALL GM’s must be present for this timely process. The game is due out within the first two weeks of August. Once the game comes out, the draft will be that day/night so make plans accordingly for the following day as far as work or whatever. We will keep ALL Gm’s posted on the RELEASE DATE of the game.
-        Once the first GM goes on the clock, he will have 3 MINUTES to make a selection. The time will be kept with a stop watch. (3 minutes is a hell of a long time on the stop watch and if everyone comes prepared then we shouldn’t have a problem). Every pick will be a 3 minute time limit.
-        Once the 3 minute time limit is up and the GM has not made a selection HE MUST GO TO ‘ALL NFL’ CATEGORY, SORT BY ‘OVERALL’ AND TAKE THE TOP PLAYER, NO ‘IF’S, AND’S, OR BUT’S. Plain and simple, come ***ing prepared.
-        There will be NO teaming up on draft day or communication of who to select. If you do not come prepared that is your fault. In the NFL the Bears don’t tell the Packers who to draft, so the same goes here.
-        Each GM will select 30 players. Once all the GM’s have selected their 30th player, we will simulate the rest of the draft.
Regular Season Games:
-        Games will only be played at 875 Paddock Dr. Home of GM Brian and Jim Lang
-        NO pre-season games will be played, we will simulate them and ANYTHING goes.
-        We are still in the works of trying to have tow systems running at the same time but still on the same franchise. I think one game might have to get done before the other and all the computer games have to be simulated and saved. We will keep all GM’s posted.
-        There will be a 48 HR time limit on games. If your game is not played within 48 hours of your last game, your current game will be simulated and ANYTHING goes this includes losses, and injuries.
-        If more than 4 games are simulated for any GM, that GM WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE POST-SEASON, if his team makes it.
-        If you are able to play everyday that is even better. We hope to have some GM’s play everyday because there are ten users and each game takes anywhere from 40-60 minutes. Basically, the more games you can play the better.
-        Once week six roles around, all GM’s will either be called or you may be present on this day to verify that you do or do not want to make trades. This day will not count in the 48 hour time limit do to the fact that GM Dwyer takes the entire 24 hours to make his trades. Remember, week 6 CANNOT start until all trades are final and all GM’s verify with proceeding.
-        Be pre-pared to answer some questions from reporters after games. If you need time to cool down let the press know. If your game doesn’t mean ***, chances are there will not be reporters there.
Post Season Games:
-        GOOD LUCK!
-        Super Bowl Game, if anyone would like to be present during the game, ask either GM that is in it.
-        Depending on the schedule of the rest of the GM’s, chances are, more than likely, we will go into the off-season after the Super Bowl is finished and all questions have been asked by reporters.
Off-Season:
-        We will go in the order in which the game has set up the off-season schedule.
-        When drafting comes, again we will import the draft class and again there is to be no communication of who to select during the draft.
-        A nice feature in the draft is up in the left hand corner of the screen. The Madden 2005 game lets you know what players you need, who is the best available for you in the draft, and who are the free agents in the NFL at each position. So while you are drafting take a look at who you would like to go after, if any, in the free agency period. Hopefully Madden 2006 will have this same feature.
-        Free agency will begin with the GM with the worst overall record in the REGULAR SEASON, making the first bid on ONE PLAYER. (If GM’s are tied for worst record or where GM’s are tied in the free agency period, we will determine the next bidder on free agents by coin flip.
-        If you make a bid on a player, make it a good one because we will not go back. (EXAMPLE: if GM Lang wants Ray Lewis and he makes a bid then GM Dwyer outbids him, IT WILL NOT GO BACK TO GM LNAG FOR ANOTHER COUNTER-BID. The rotation of GM’s making bids must go through for GM Lang to get his counter-bid in).
-        Each bid has a 30 sec. time limit. We do not control when that particular day is over so, make your bids quick.
-        NO mini-camps
