Lane Babe Ruth League: Welcome
Welcome to Lane Babe Ruth Baseball, a league for players between the ages of 13-18 residing in the Albemarle and Charlottesville, Virginia area.

Wednesday, February 15
We are excited to have had such a great response to our early mail-in registration period but we still have room for a few more players in both our Prep (13yo) and our Junior (14-15yo) Divsions. If you still have a registration in-hand and haven't mailed it in, go ahead & put it in the mail ASAP before we reach our roster limits and have to wait-list players (which we absolutely HATE to do).
We also offer walk-in registrations this weekend if that is more convenient for you. We will have Board Members in the board room at Lane Park (801 McIntire Rd, next to the Albemarle Co. Office Building) to accept your registration at these times:
Friday, Feb 17th - 6:00-8:00PM
Saturday, Feb 18th - Noon-3:00PM
Sunday, Feb 19th - Noon-3:00PM
Don't wait too long, roster space is limited.

Below is a link to both the cover letter and the registration form for Spring 2012 leagues. Make sure you read the cover letter! It contains important news and information. Registration forms are due February 14th (no candy req'd).
If you know of any 13yo players that have just aged out of Little League/Cal Ripken please share this site with their family. We want to reach as many new players as possible.

On Thursday, July 28th the 3rd Annual Lane Babe Ruth Home Run Derby was held. Participants received one point for hitting the green batter's eye tarp, three points for hitting the fence above the tarp, and five points for hitting a home run over the fence. The results are as follows:
METAL BAT
Overall Winner: Nathan Mullinax, 22 pts.
19 yo Winner: Trey Rigsby, 9 pts.
18 yo Winner: Tyler Moneymaker, 17 pts.
17 yo Winner: Nathan Mullinax, 22 pts.
16 yo Winner: Russ Hellinger, 1 pt.
Over 19 yo Winner: Bill Presley, 3 pts.
WOOD BAT
Overall Winner: Tyler Moneymaker, 5 pts.
Second Place: Nathan Mullinax, 4 pts.
Third Place: Bill Presley, 3 pts.
