Team 15 remained undefeated by defeating Mason 4 today 13-0 for their second division win. The defense set the tone early with Sam Howard putting the offense in good position with a first quarter interception. The offense took it from there with a solid drive finished off by a Nicholas Holtman 15 yard rush to the end zone. QB Cole Martin took the extra point snap and swept around the right end, and led by great blocking got in to give the Tomahawks a 7-0 lead. The defense again made big plays in the second quarter with Justin Smith stopping a drive with a fumble recovery. Then late in the quarter, a blitzing Kyle McDonough blew up a play in the backfield causing another fumble that was recovered by Nathan Martin to keep the score at 7-0 at halftime. A scoreless third quarter was highlighted by Holtman chasing down a Mason running back to save a potential game tying TD. In the fourth quarter, the Tomahawks put the game away with Holtman run for over 50 yards to take the ball down to the 5 yard line. From there Gabe Cain rammed the ball across the goal line for a 13-0 lead. Though the extra point kick came up just short, the defense shut the door to preserve the shut out. The Tomahawks travel to Little Miami next weekend for non-division match up.

| Holtman scores! |
Sunday, August 29
Team 15 opened the regular season and division play with an outstanding effort, defeating Anderson 1 by a score of 7-6. After a hard fought first half, the teams went into halftime in a scoreless deadlock. Anderson scored a TD in the third quarter, but a great effort from the Tomahawk defense denied the extra point conversion. In the fourth quarter the Tomahawk offense finally took over and two long passes from Cole Martin, first to Tre' Thompson then to Nicholas Holtman, set the stage for a 19 yard TD scamper by Holtman. After a penalty, Martin and Holtman again hooked up for the game deciding extra point. The Tomahawk defense then shut the door on the Tigers with Sam Howard recovering a late fumble to secure the victory. After an off week, Team 15 will return to action with another division game against Mason 4.
